Your privacy matters

ClearBuy ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application that helps people evaluate, compare, and track residential properties. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we store your email address and, optionally, your name and profile photo. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.

Property and evaluation data. Addresses, price guides, scorecard ratings, notes (text and voice recordings), inspection photos, checklists, and criteria you enter or capture inside the app. This is the core data you create and control.

Device and notification data. If you enable push notifications we store an Expo push token, your device platform (iOS or Android), device name, and app version so we can deliver smart property alerts.

Subscription data. Subscription status and purchase history are managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat may store a pseudonymous app user ID, device identifiers, and transaction records. We do not see or store your payment card details.

Location data. The app may request location permission for walkthrough mode. Location data is used on-device only and is not transmitted to our servers.

2. How we use your information

To provide, maintain, and improve ClearBuy's features.
To deliver push notifications when a new listing matches your criteria.
To manage your subscription and premium access.
To respond to support requests.

3. Third-party services

We share limited data with the following providers, each under their own privacy policies:

Supabase — database hosting, authentication, file storage, and edge functions.
RevenueCat — subscription billing and entitlement management.
Expo (EAS) — push notification delivery and app update distribution.
Apple / Google — in-app purchase processing and app distribution.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure. All connections use TLS encryption in transit. Sensitive credentials are stored on-device using encrypted secure storage. Row-level security policies ensure that each user can only access their own data.

5. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (from Settings in the app or via our web deletion page), we permanently remove your profile, all associated property data, uploaded photos, voice notes, and push device registrations. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

6. Your rights and choices

Access and export. You can view all your data inside the app. PDF report exports are available for individual properties.
Correction. You can edit your profile and property data at any time.
Deletion. You can delete your account and all data from Settings, or via our web deletion page.
Notifications. You can disable push notifications from your device settings or from within the app.

If you are located in the EU, UK, or Australia, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws. Contact us to exercise them.

7. Children's privacy

ClearBuy is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised policy with a new effective date. Your continued use of ClearBuy after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
